World of Country

“Paul Hazell’s World Of Country” is a weekly, 3-hour country music radio show recorded in the UK and distributed to radio stations. Currently the show goes out to stations in England, Ireland, Germany, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Paul Hazell is a freelance country music writer and broadcaster who has been involved with country music since the 1970s. He has organised and compered shows, researched and compiled albums for record companies, written for country magazines, compiled shows for radio stations including the BBC, etc and now presents “Paul Hazell’s World Of Country”.

Unique Selling Point

The show errs towards more traditional sounds but embraces modern country too. It covers:

• All sub-genres including bluegrass, Cajun, Tex-Mex, Honky Tonk, Western songs, Western Swing, Rockabillly, Country Gospel, Dawg Music, old-timey, Yodelling – even Australian bush ballads (the Australian equivalent of the cowboy song), etc

• Down through the decades – from today’s recordings back to the 1920s (and even earlier on a few occasions)

• Country recordings from wherever good country music is recorded – including USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, mainland Europe, South Africa, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
