Steve Earle’s debut album, Guitar Town, made a significant impact by topping the Billboard country album charts. The title track climbed to #7 on the country singles charts. Earle earned two Grammy nominations in 1987 for Best Male Country Vocalist and Best Country Song for the title track. Notably, Guitar Town was among the first country music albums to be recorded digitally.
