WAYLON JENNINGS – FEBRUARY 13, 2002

American country singer and songwriter Waylon Jennings passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with diabetes. After Buddy Holly’s breakup with The Crickets, Jennings became his bassist. In the late 1970s, he released a series of successful duet albums with Willie Nelson. Notably, he achieved a US #21 hit with the 1980 single “Theme From The Dukes Of Hazzard” and also narrated the television series of the same name. Additionally, Jennings was a member of the legendary band The Highwaymen, alongside Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.
